Advent drama – Part 2
All things are possible . . . (I read that somewhere . . .)
Some quick ideas:
- Recording the parts individually and then merging them together is straightforward.
- Using a green screen would allow multiple characters played by the same actor to be on the screen at the same time if desired.
- Cuts and transitions would make changing between characters fairly easy. (Morphing is doable if you have compatible video software)
- I have been known to recruit people from outside the church to help out. It often gets them and their family/friends to show up. They usually have a lot of fun – even if they’ve never done it before and initially act reticent.
- It’s not a long script so total production time isn’t bad.
- God may be portrayed as a bright light which means all you need is a voice-over and perhaps some sound effects.
- Satan could be a hooded creature with a blacked-out face (Think Christmas Carol Ghost of Christmas Future) with vocal effects.
- A re-write could be done to make it flow better with the given constraints.
- If using green screen (composite video) you could choose a stock background or take a picture of the area you want the background to encompass.
Blessings!
