• Sarge should be older that the recruit. Very loud, bold and direct. “Drill sergeant” type.
• Recruit should be younger than the Sarge. Nervous, but eager to serve.

Sarge: (looking Recruit up and down.) So, what do we have here? Looks like another fresh one. So, you really think you’re the kind of material we’re looking for, huh?

Recruit: (eagerly.) Yes sir!! (Quietly.) Oh, I mean ma’am.

Sarge: Eagerness! That’s good. You definitely have to be eager. Now then, there are several things you have to consider when committing to this mission.

Recruit: I am totally committed, sir! Er, Ma’am!

Sarge: Good. First of all, you have to realize that by committing to this mission, your life will never be the same.

Recruit: Yes, sir. I realized that from the first day I made the decision to be a part of this mission that my entire life would change.

Sarge: (firmly.) Correct. Everything about you will be different – the way you talk, the way you act, I guess the whole way you walk will change. Remember that as you go forward in this mission, everything you do reflects on the Leader. He will work through you and change you.

Recruit: Yes sir! I really feel I am ready for this mission!

Sarge: Now hold on just a minute. There are other things you have to consider first. Also, there is a lot of work involved. While you will have the tremendous support from the Leader and the encouragement from your fellow recruits, you will have to do your part and study up so you will be prepared to face anything you may encounter on your mission.
