Sample of script

Clown: Enter whistling or singing. Sees Sinner laying on the floor in agony, reaching out to Clown for help. Clown stops, looks at audience, and searches pockets for something to help with. Holds out items like used hanky, shakes head no, bouncy ball (bounce it a few times) no, money (shrug like maybe), put it in the sinners hand but they can’t hold it. Money falls to the floor. Clown puts it back in pocket. Clown shakes head no. Clown walks away scratching head thinking. Shrugs like nothing clown can do and sits in chair opposite the sinner.

Sinner: Begins to moan and carry on reaching out for help.

Clown: Gets up and flexes muscles. He will try to save her himself. Clown goes to sinner and pulls on hand. Clowns feet slide along the floor, leaving clown sitting on floor still holding hand. (If you have a never ending glove or scarf use it to pull, end up holding the end looking sad at the audience.) Clown puts sinner’s hand over back and pulls and slides again and lays face down. Clown puts foot against sinner and pulls on hand while in sitting position but loses grip on hand and flips backwards. (If girl clown show pantaloons, if can’t do backwards roll, roll sideways and try for same effect).

Clown must now get up. If you have a drummer please use them. Clown rolls to right but falls back (padump) rolls left and falls back (padump) roll back and forth and play the drum (padump – padump) Grab feet to pull your self up and roll back instead with feet over head. (padump) roll back and forth that way a couple of times (padump – padump) finally roll over onto stomach and get on hands and walk hands backward until standing with hands and feet on floor and stand. Make big production to audience that you made it.

Now sinner moans and you look at sinner and look at audience sad. Make muscle and then sadly shake head. It didn’t work. Go sit down.Enter Paul with large sign on that says Apostle Paul, Paul holds up bag or box that says WISDOM and gives it to the clown. Clown takes joyfully and Paul exits. Enter Moses (large sign says Prophet Moses) give clown bag that says COMMANDMENTS. Clown receives joyfully and Moses exits. Enter Elijah (with large sign says Prophet Elijah) hand Clown a bag with a large sign on it says Authority. Clown receives with joy Elijah exits. Enter David (with large sign that says King David) hand Clown bag with large sign that says Praise) Clown receives with joy, David exits.

Clown then holds each bag up to the audience one at a time, each time point to himself like I have this now. Clown goes over strutting to help the sinner. Clown pulls sinner half up, sinner falls back down. Clown almost falls. Clown gets behind sinner and trying to push sinner up with big feet. Clown rolls backward instead. Clown scratches head, shrugs shoulders and gives up. Goes to sit back in chair. Puts head in hands sobbing in failure.
